muting audio

    Is there a way using Nero or something else to mute the sound on a video that I have put into vision? I recorded something with the video camera and I want to put music over it rather than what is on there.
    I am brand new to this stuff.

    You can try this...

    You need to be in the Edit Video screen and you movie has to be in the "Timeline" view.
    Make sure you have your second soundtrack added.

    Double click the main movie to open the Properties dialog box:

    Adjust the volume on the slider to 0%:

    Double click the added sound track and make sure it's volume is adjusted:
