    Hi

I have recently bought an MX3 android 4.4 TV box to replace a WDTV Live box

I have connected my USB hard drive to it and I can play video files from it with no problems

What I cannot do is see the MX3 on my network - I want to copy files to the attached USB storage.

I am using the same network cable that the WDTV live box was attached to and it worked fine.

Is there a setting I need to change to make it visible ?

Or do I need an app of some sort?

I'm not too sure ( haven't used it ) but have you tried a program called puTTy , with it you can make a ssh connection to your server

if you intall wifi ftp server app from google playstore , and download filezilla on your computer you can use filezilla to connect to the usb drive connected to your box . then you can ftp any files to the usb drive .

if you buy a set of homeplugs or similar you wont need to worry about the wifi signal .

homeplugs are lan not wifi , is your box still set to wifi ? if it is in settings change to ethernet . then you will be using the homeplugs not the wifi .
