    hello peeps,
i just fitted in a MXL2 in a ps2 v6. this is the first time i'v done this. all the bios wires seems to be okey, because psx backups boot. i cant boot any ps2 backups cd-r and dvd-r. backups used to work in other ps2's. is it the modchip or did i install something wrong. do i need special wire for some of the connections?

never mind i found the solution, the install diagram i used for the v5-6 was not complete. maybe they did it on purpose. i don;t know, but i just connected the G point from chip to mobo and turned on ps2 with backup and backup boots directly. so people with simialer problems should try it out. matbe it wil work for you too.
