I was using Dvd rescue that I received with Plat Dvd X burning software and the movie Seven kept freezing up on my computers internal dvd player then all of a sudden my dvd player would not read any type of media cd-r,dvd-r,or my install disc I tried unplugging the drive to see if it was some type of driver failure hopeing Win Xp would reinstall anything that may have been damaged or lost. didn't work so I uninstalled both dvd X and dvd rescue neither worked so I am scratchin' my head over here any help would be appreciated!! Oh how do you burn to a temp file first with dvd X plat?

    hi all

no idea how to use dvd x as most dont use it on here! but to your drive problem sometimes a bad burn disc or currupt disc can loack your drive up and do funny things! in this case what i do is go to device manager and uninstall the drive there! then either reboot the pc so windows will find it again, or go to the tab at the top of device manager and click find new hardware and basically relod the drivers!

also if this does not work reinstall an ASPI layer it could be that? as you have loaded and unloaded software!

    Thx....
