I just bought a flip top lid for my v7 ps2, but when i went to try it out it made a lot of grinding spinning noises when it tried to read the disk. The flip top is vibrating quite a bit and it sounds like the noise is coming from the little white disk. When i put pressure on the top the sound stops but it can't read and it seems that it's just the pressure stopping the disk from spinning. Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

I loosened the 2 screw on the lid of the flip top and it lowered the white disk enough for it to stop making the noise. It's working great now, thanks for the advice Muk.

It's a circular white thing that snaps in right above the middle of the dvd drive

the one that goes ontop of the disk when the lid is shut (or the tray is closed), thats the only white disk that he's on about here.
