My GC can't read any disks...can help me?

Is it possible that the message "an error has occured" might be related to a problem with the motor spindle?

 

LOL Didn't I tell you to realign the spindle like 2 months ago? That's okay...yes, that spindle can be a real hassle; I realigned mine and it's been working like a charm ever since It requires you to remove the spindle off of the motor (you use two flat screwdrivers to pry off the spindle from the outer edges), and then firmly reinsert it back onto the motor head. I saw a guide out there on how to do it, but I can't seem to locate it :-(
