hi. i'm new to these forums, in fact this is my first post. i'm (obviously) having some trouble with azureus and i was hoping someone here could help. i looked around and couldn't find an existing thread that covered this, but if there is, forgive me. anyway, my problem is this. i just downloaded azureus and the java runtime program. i installed them both, and java seems to be fine, but when i try to run azureus, it loads about halfway then quits. every time. it also produces some kind of error file that starts out like this:
    #
    # An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine:
    #
    # EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x0f809e31, pid=-1790477, tid=4293218427
    #
    # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (1.5.0_02-b09 mixed mode)
    # Problematic frame:
    # C [SWT-WIN32-3106.DLL+0x9e31]
    #

i've uninstalled and reinstalled both it and java about 5 times each, and it still won't work. can anyone think of what might be causing the problem? i'm using windows 98, by the way(i know, it's old, can't afford a new one). thanks in advance.

    1. Your Java client may not support Windows 98.

    2. Download the Java client that the offical Azureus webpage recommends.

Other than that, the only advice I can give you is to upgrade... it ain't exactly expensive for a software you're going to use daily.
