Great drive and a steal at that price. Easy install and will be recognized by windows on reboot of your pc.

it's a very decent drive, especially for that price. :) i've had mine on my 2nd computer for almost a year now, i paid almost DOUBLE at the time for this drive.

for casual usage and burning (which is what it seems like you will be doing) it's perfect for you. i burn thousands of discs w/ my pioneer and sony within a year and i use my nec for my "casual backups", it's been great~

even though i build computers as a hobby, it's very easy to install, just make sure you set the jumper to "master" in the back and plug in the cable and the power cord and your pc should recognize it upon reboot.

if you have any problems, shoot me a PM, ill walk you through it if you run into any difficulties, but i don't think you will~

    good luck
