Need help converting to Coby mp828 player format. Could someone help me convert some video files to work with the Coby player. The Coby player comes with a converting program but it can not handle videos with variable bit rate. I found if I use VirturalDub first change it to a constant bitrate, it will then convert it to its format. However this is 2 step process and I was wondering if it can be all done in VituralDub. I have tried a number of different conversion but not so far has worked. Here is the info on the Coby file after it has been converted, information provided by MediaInfo: General Complete name coby.avi Format : AVI Format/Info : Audio Video Interleave File size : 111 MiB Duration : 42mn 38s Overall bit rate : 364 Kbps Movie name : 05e01 Lost.avi Writing application : Lavf52.11.0 Original source form/Name : Eureka Video ID : 0 Format : MPEG-4 Visual Format profile : Simple@L3 Format settings, BVOP : No Format settings, QPel : No Format settings, GMC : No warppoints Format settings, Matrix : Default (H.263) Codec ID : XVID Codec ID/Hint : XviD Duration : 42mn 38s Bit rate : 224 Kbps Width : 320 pixels Height : 184 pixels Display aspect ratio : 16:9 Frame rate : 25.000 fps Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Bit depth : 8 bits Scan type : Progressive Compression mode : Lossy Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.152 Stream size : 68.3 MiB (61%) Writing library : XviD 1.1.2 (UTC 2006-11-01) Audio ID : 1 Format : MPEG Audio Format version : Version 1 Format profile : Layer 3 Mode : Joint stereo Mode extension : MS Stereo Codec ID : 55 Codec ID/Hint : MP3 Duration : 42mn 38s Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 128 Kbps Channel(s) : 2 channels Sampling rate : 44.1 KHz Compression mode : Lossy Stream size : 39.0 MiB (35%) Alignment : Aligned on interleaves Interleave, duration : 26 ms (0.65 video frame) If you want I can post the text files of the other attempts or just list which ones I have tried. One of the thing I notice is none of them has produced the following : Audio Alignment : Aligned on interleaves I guess this is one of the problems. Anyone have any suggestions?
