I downloaded a TV show from Amazon Prime and it won't play on any of my media players and my video converters don't recognize the format. Media Player Classic gives me the following pop up message:

The following pin failed to find a connectable filter:
LAV Splitter Source [internal] - video
    media type 0 -
    ---------------------------------------
    video - ENCV 48x336 29.97fps 460kbps

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Thank you for the suggested solution, but it didn't work. I even downloaded iTunes, Tuneskit (as recommended the article you linked) and Aimersoft DRM Media Converter and nothing worked.

Here's what's going on. When I went to Amazon Prime Videos to watch an old episode of Survivor, my IDM bar popped up to download the file, so I did. The file downloaded as an MP4 video btt will not play on any of my media players and it will not convert an any of my video converters, even Aimersoft DRM Converter doesn't recognize it.

I would very much appreciate any new suggestions from anyone. Thank you.

Upon your query, I downloaded and installed DVDfab. As with my other converters, when I try to add it to the program it fails to load.

Well, I'm absolutely sure that the popular DVDFab, AnyDVD, MakeMKV, Handbrake, Pavtube Video Converter Ultimate, Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate, ByteCopy, FFmpeg, FreeMake video converter, AnyMP4 video converter WON'T convert Amazon Prime video. The video from Amazon and other video files from some torrent video sites such as YIFI have different copyright protection scheme and those video converters in the list can convert normal video files but they can't handle DRM protected Amazon Prime, iTunes video, BBC iPlayer, etc.

    DRM Removal Programs:
    • Aimersoft DRM Media Converter.
    • Ondesoft iTunes DRM Media Converter.
    • Pavtube Chewtune
    • Audials Tunebite 11.
    • AppleMacSoft DRM Converter

I tried dl'ing, installing and conversion with 4 of the above listed programs. They all resulted in unidentified errors. I give up.

I challenge any Windows user with Amazon Prime to download a video file and successfully convert it to a playable video file. It can't be done.

The encoding Amazon Prime goes through, and what you need to decode it, is not available in software, anywhere! There is a reason for that, it is illegal! & posting such activity online is not good for ones freedom! You know the Men in Black? but if you must, get You a Roku, with RCA jacks, and a DVD Recorder,& copy away! Because unless You find a hack somewhere, again Illegal, You are just going to bang Your head against the wall wondering till the end of time, how do I get this to work! LOL!

Answer me this, ronpar. Why is it illegal to download a movie from Amazon Prime or a torrent site, but it's not illegal to record the same movie on my DVD recorder when Showtime or HBO airs it?
