need help from someone who knows the inside of a ps2 really well....

    i had opened my ps2 to fix a power problem, and i had fixed that. but another problem has risen. the disc tray will not open, and the disc will not spin. i don't even know why, i may have done something without knowing but what can i do? any help?

    **not PS2 slim.

    Er.. what's your SCPH#? Not all fat PS2's look alike on the inside, lol.

    how do i find out, also, my audio/video isnt working either....

    look on the back or the side of the ps2, there's a sticker. It says it clearly- SPCH39001 or w/e number you have.

    Does the laser move?

    ..your disk tray is probabl just off track. force it back in, lol. don't put too much force in it though, if the disk tray starts to bend or soemthing, tkae all teh screws out and manually put it back on track (>_> thats the long, boring way though xD). There's a screw at the front of the PS2, to the left of the disk tray that you must take out to remve the disk tray. after that, just put it all the way back in, or if the laser peice is down, have the tray all the way out. Just fidle with it for a bit.. you'll get it eventually, lol

    I have a lil minor problem with my slim ps2 disc tray I let kids play it and well they had the ps2 fall on the floor due to pushing controller back anyway still works and plays games but the tray doesn't want to open all the way just wondering if this is an easy fix
