I am new in minidv capturing, First I tried using UleadVideo Studio 8 but there are dropped frames, I ended my other process and disconnect my network and other stuffs. I also tried usin windvd creator and powerproducer but i also encountered dropped frames. I Tried windv, dvio and scenalyzer but all of them dropped frames. The dropped frames that the three software indicates a 64 dropped frames. I don't dropped just a 1 frame but 64 of them at once and an additional 64 frames for the next dropped. I have 64 increments of dropped frames.
can someone help me with my problem. Any suggestions.

Your specs are good enough to not encounter dropped frames. Maybe it's your tape? Have you tried a different tape? 64 sequential dropped frames isn't normal.

I already tried differnt tapes. I'm thinking to buy a new firewire cable. Does a firewire cable makes a difference?

If there's a bad connection, then yes.

Ok. I'll try to change my cable to see if anything happens.
