    Model: Nokia 6102B
    IMEI: 357100/00/323766/3
Country the phone is locked in: USA
Provider the phone is locked to: Cingular

I am currently trying to use this phone in India. Wherever I go, it is only able to catch the Service Provider that is available on the 1800 Mhz. It was able to catch Hutch in Bangalore, and currently in Mumbai it is Airtel. Is this phone locked. Do I need to unlock it?..If so, what is the procedure.

    Please help.
    Thanks

Well in Bangalore, the Hutch card worked fine. But if I put any other SIM card it does not work. Hutch operates on the 1800 MHz frequency in Bangalore.
I brought the same phone to Bombay-Mumbai and there the Hutch card does not work. Only Airtel SIM cards works for this phone in Mumbai as Airtel operates in the 1800 MHz in Mumbai
So basically, the phone will work with SIM cards that operate only on the 1800 MHz range in India.
Any solution to unlock this Nokia.
    Thanks

Let me see if the code given above works or not. Thanks anyways. Also, is there a space between the numbers. Or is it just the #pw+ and then the numbers.

    Thanks

    I tried the code.
It displayed a message that says - "Phone Restrictions On".

Is the phone still locked or is it unlocked..

    Thanks

I tried the code given, and it displayed the message with a "STOP" Sign - "Phone Restrictions On".
I inserted the local Hutch SIM Card, and was not able to get access to the Hutch Network.
So, the phone is still unlocked..
Any other possible solutions for this please..

    Thanks
