I just purchased a Toshiba SDR-5372,updated the firmware, use dvdshrink & dvdcrypter or nero and neither will burn any faster than the 4x I was getting with my old BTC 8x burner. Is there a setting, or different burning software I need. I just need to be pointed in the right direction. I was using Ritek G04's with the BTC and just bought the Ritek G05's for the new burner.

    control panel>device manger>ide

I think I found my answer. http://www.ritek.com/products/pro-dvd-rw.htm Go down to compatibility PDF file. I got hooked line and sinker into believing that I might get 8X or even 12X from the burner. If I use Fuji M03 disc, I can get the 8X.
