    Hello from Maine,

    I have a softmodded PSP running "3.90 M33-2" and I need to get up to 6.31 :)

My new game says I need that update ?

    Can I get a coach ?

    Thanks!

The game I'm trying to play is called "Class of Heroes" and it won't start, it tells me to upgrade to 6.31 but I don't know how to update my "3.90 m33-2"

    Can I get a link ?

What model psp do you have? Is it a fat psp or a slim? The fat ones are the 1000 model and the slims are 2000/3000 models. You can take out the battery and check on the sticker that is there. It will tell you what model you have. Either way, you can just update through sony to OFW (Official Firmware) 6.39. Once on 6.39, you will need to google for 6.39 ME-5 CFW (Custom Firmware) for 1000/2000 models only. If you have a 3000 model psp then google for 6.39 PRO-B6 CFW. Once you have what is needed for your model psp, follow the included directions for installing the CFW. If you need more help then post a reply or PM me. I will get back to you ASAP.

It's definitely not a 3000 model, because it already is on custom firmware.
Also going back to official firmware, then using HEN and then going to custom firmware again isn't the way I'd go, I'd just update to 5.00 M33 and from there to 6.39 MEv5.

    Thanks fellas :)

OK here is everything I did

FAT PSP 1001 with firmware 3.50

    1 - get down to 1.50
    2 - go from 1.50 to M33's 3.52-4
3 - format the memory stick
    4 - from 3.52 M33 to 3.52 M33-3
    5 - from 3.52 M33-3 to 3.90 M33-2
    6 - from 3.90 M33-2 to 6.35 OFW
    7 - from 6.35 OFW to 6.35 PRO-B6 (don't power off after)
8 - from 6.35 PRO-B6 to CFW 6.39 ME-5 (now you can power off if you want to)

    It was confusing LOL

    Have fun!

And full of quite unneccessary steps (1 to 5), sorry to tell you. You didn't need the downgrade (pandora battery?) and about 3 of the updates. From 3.5 OFW you can go directly to 6.35 OFW and then use the homebrew enabler you used (PRO-B5) or go to any of the 6.xx OFWs and use the homebrew enabler for that firmware to go to 6.39 MEv5.
