Hey, not sure if this is in the right forum or not. I need helping removing an operating system. I installed win xp, and had win 98 se installed already. I thought i reformatted, but when my computer boots i'm given the choice of running either win 98 or win xp.
I want to remove win 98, how can i do this?

    thanks

the easiest way to delete it, is to re-intall xp, and this time insert the disc when your computer is booting up, and you should get a blue setup screen. delete the partition on the hard drive, and than it will delete your previous OS.

if you don't want to delete your new xp os, than you can go to control panel>system>advanced>startup and recovery. than you can select to only have xp as a startup OS.

yeah, the second one will just remove the startup screen allowing you to select, so if you have ample hard disk space, than just disable the startup screen, and that should work fine.
