Need help

    I just installed a Duo 2 SE modchip in my version 7 playstation 2. When i turn the console on all i get is a black screen. I insert a backup game of mine and the modchip is working b/c the game is running. Can ne one help me by telling what is wrong with getting the black screen. Thanks

    check the wires around the bios chip for solder bridges

    K, i checked all the wires around the bios chip. There was a solder bridge. I fixed it and i still got the black screen. I then check all the other wires and i still got the same screen. I then took the chip off and cleaned all the solder on the board. There is no solder bridges on or around the bios chip and i still get the black screen.

    I think mabie the board got messed up. If so does ne one know where i can get a version 7 motherboard that works with the KHS-400C laser. I checked richspsxparts.com and he doesnt have ne in stock. Is there ne where else i can get one.

    its a better idea to just get a new ps2.
