I am wanting to builda a computer with the following things in it:
    DVD Drive
    CD Burnable
    Internet
    Super Fast Speed
    Huge Memory

I need to know what products would be best and what i should buy. I already have the "frame" picked out. If it is possible, it would be cool if you could price it to your best ability (or just a range is fine).

    Thanks

a decent LCD 17 inch monitor is about 3 to 4 hundred dollars , that doesnt leave you with much money for all the go fast parts that you want , cpu, memory , motherboard , video card , hard drive , roms , case , ps .

You still need to set a price.

instead of getting a dvdrom & a cd burner just get a dvd burner that also does cdr & cdrw. a pioneer 108d(16x) for about $129Can. a p4-2.4a cpu $159, 512meg($95)x2, 3.5in floppy for $10, Asus p4s800d-e deluxe motherboard for $133, case for about $55, maxtor 160gig for $107, benq fp757 lcd 17" monitor for $429, logitech multimedia keyboard for $12, ms optical wheel mouse for $15, xp home $119, xp pro for $185. this gives you an idea at what you are looking at

Unfortunately the two are often mutually exclusive

Damn I knew I made those threads for a good reason :p

It may seem a bit "anal retentive" but it would allow us to help you if you could nail down a number ... "as much as I need to" can translate to $2000 for one person and $5700 for another etc.

Good to see ur doing ur job Flip :p

Now since i dont see any useful concrete numbers, i'm gona spec a system for $1500USD (mostly because the LCD screen is chunking out a large part of it):
    - Athlon64-2800 ($130) ... an insanely OCable chip for a hell of a price
    - MSI K8N Neo Platinum ($125) ... a class punishing platform for OCing
    - Corsair ValueSelect 1GB Kit PC3200 ($160) ... blah
    - 2xWD 160GB 7200 8MB PATA ($180) ... your basic staple for HDDs
    - Thermaltake Venus12 (check to see if this is S754 compatible i thin it is but i dunno, $30)
    - Thermaltake Silent Purepower 420W ($40) ... a hell of a nice PSU for that price
    - LiteOn 52x32x52 ($25) .. a superb burner
    - Pioneer 108 ($70) ... your basic all around DVD burner
    - Gainward GeForce6800 ($275) ... a excellent card for that price
    NET $1035

Hmm... damn. That was nice. You can add shit on that as you desire
