Hi, I am thinking about buying a mod, however, I don't know which one is best for my version. I have a version 4 Ps2. I also would like to know if there is a giant difference in the soldiering and no-soldiering chips. Thanks a lot.

There is a HUGE difference. Don't even bother with the no-solder chip. it still requires a boot disc and you would be better off getting the fliptop instead of the chip. Matrix infinity is a very good mod chip.

So,is Matrix infinity the best for my situation?
Is it fairly easy to install?
    Thanks for the info.

if your not an expert in soldering, don't even attempt installing a modchip. I have swap magic and a fliptop and it works great.
