Walmart has a Pioneer dvr220s for $198.00 and Best Buy has a Panasonic DMR-ES10S for $199.00..........anyone have either of these. I found some info on the Pioneer in search but nothing on the Panasonic. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I did try a cyberhome 1500, what a piece of crap...back to the store it went! In your opinion which would you recommend?

The Panasonic can be had for $169 @ http://shopper-zdnet.com.com/Panaso...5-31310131.html?tag=ob_50&orderby=50&sort=asc . It is like a VCR in that it records onto DVD instead of a tape.

I would buy a Toshiba RS-TX20 or 60 http://www.tacp.toshiba.com/dvr/digitalmediaserver.asp for apprx $400 you can tape onto a DVD and it has a hard drive with TIVO basic included. Pause , rewind ,freeze frame & slow motion . Which is great for watching sports. With a 120 GB hard drive , you will never fill it up , but the DVD will fill after 4 hours.
