First hello to everyone! My Nero is not working as I want it to work. It never did actually, but now it is driving me crazy. Tried now to burn 6 or 7 DVDs without success. Attached you find the last error protocol, could you have a look at it and please tell me, what is wrong? I have no idea, except that I used "XP AntiSpy" a couple of days ago and may be changed some settings, that I should not have touched? Thanks a lot for your help!! Gaston And here is the error protocol:
this is a Roxio/Sonic driver and when having problems with Nero then you should uninstall Roxio/Sonic as it sometimes conflicts with Nero DVD burning! Some computers can tolerate Roxio/Sonic co existing on the same computer with Nero and most other can't .... so uninstall Roxio/Sonic and run the Roxio Zapper afterwards: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml do not muti task, shut down unnecessary programs and no internet while burning....... you're using too much memory up while burning.... and you have the minimum amount of memory so cut your computer use down to just burning DVDs while using Nero! your version of Nero 6 is not the stablest version.... 6.6.0.18 is the most stablest version of Nero 6 and I would update it to that version. Here's how: Before udating to 6.6.0.18 I would save the serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools : http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Clean_Tools.html then do a registry clean up(free registry cleaner, CClean: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloadpage.aspx?1) and defrag...... then reboot! install package one: http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_burning_rom/?539 then install package two: http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Patch_for_NVE3.html reboot and you're good to go! try these changes and see if you have better luck! Welcome to AFterDawn!
Hi IHoe, sounds good advise. I was afraid I'd have to go through this uninstall - install procedure after reading other threads before, but had nevertheless some hope to avoid it...somehow...although it is at the end not that much work, could be worse. So thanks, I will try and see, if it works... Gaston
I am having the same problem with Nero 6. I keep getting the error message that advrcntr2.dll is missing. I did a Google search, found it, downloaded it & extracted it everywhere I could think of. After reading this forum, I also extracted it to C:/program files/ahead/lib with no luck. I sent a message to Nero's support people the other day & so far, the only response I've had is the automated reply saying they got my message. Can anyone here help me? My hard drives are almost full with stuff I recorded off the TV & had planned on burning to DVDs this weekend. Thanks lots in advance.
Unfortunately this was not a solution. After removing, defrag, reboot, new install, ... there was another error message about C++ requiring a not authorized program stop - or something like that. I have to admit, I was so angry, I forgot to make a screenshot. Does anyone have an other idea? Or an idea, what this (not very good quoted) error message could mean?? Thanks! Gaston
I need help with my Nero as well. I have version 6.6.0.8. I can burn Data and Audio CD/DVD no problem but, when I burn a movie to a DVD I get the same problem each time. It says "unable to create disc structure. Burned failed!" Then I have the option to save an error log that it created. I have never been able to burn a DVD movie. The files that I am trying to burn are .VOB file extensions. I do have a lot of security software installed and other Media burning software as well. I would really appreciate any help with this and I can provide any files or other data that would help with this problem.
My problem started when I downloaded & installed Nero 7, not knowing that it was just a trial version & was only good for a few weeks. Since I didn't want to bother with a trial version, I uninstalled it & began getting error messages. I also had problems when I downloaded & installed the latest update to Nero 6. If you have Nero 6 Ultra Edition, uninstall the version of Nero 6 that you are using and install Nero 6 Ultra. You may also want to uninstall your other burning software as that sometimes conflicts with Nero. You may also need to configure your security software to allow Nero to burn DVDs. I don't know what the .VOB file extension is, I am burning .mpg's to DVD's. If you uninstall Nero & install a different version, be sure to restart your computer after doing the uninstall. If you don't, your different version won't install properly. Good luck with your problem. I hope that you are able to get it fixed. Hopefully someone else here will be able to help you more than I did.
