Newbie needs HELP! When I try to burn a disc using either my Pioneer 106D DVD drive or my Lite-on CDR drive I get the following message:

"Drive is in use by another application"
I can't seem to find out what the problem is.
    Anyone help???

    Cheers

Do you have any other burning software on your computer?

try going into Device Manager and delete your drives. Then restart your computer and let XP load them automatically.

Right Click on your "My Computer" Icon and go to "Properties"
Then click on the "Hardware" Tab
    Then click on "Device Manager"
Now click the little + sign beside "Disk Drives"
Right click on each drive and hit "uninstall"
Do that for both drives then re start
