    Hey Guys,

Just managed to figure out the solution to running Nero 7 on Vista. Even though Nero 7.5.xx and onwards is compatible with Vista, when opening Nero Vision, an error message will appear.

"Unable to intialize the Nero API. Unspecified Error"

To fix this, simply find the Nero Vision EXE file on your computer (should be in C:\Program Files\Nero\Nero 7\Nero Vision\Nero Vision.exe).

Right-click on the file and click properties.

Click on the compatibility tab, and check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 2)".

    And your done!

I attempted to add this to other threads with people experiencing this issue, however the forum won't let me as I am a Junior/Noobie lol

With later version updates of Nero available free then why would you even bother. 7.10.1.2 is the latest version and is, in my opinion a very good version...however thanks for posting your solution.

Hence why I said Nero 7.5.xx and onwards :)

On all the installs I did on my Notebook, this issue happened on all of them.
