nero 7 essentials

    i just bought a DVD burner and have nero 7 essentials. Under applications on smartstart I don't have a nero burning rom. can someone please help. I can recode but there is no burning rom that I can find

    Unfortunately none of the suite of Essential come w/ Burning Rom - they are 'limited' editions - not the full version.
    Looks like you have suite 3 since you have Recode but it has a 30 day trial.

    That's because Nero Burning Rom isn't included in Nero Essentials. Really good alternative freewares would be ImgBurn and CDBurnerXP

    Edit: No reiteration intended, I was in the process of replying, but Binkie7 beat me to the punch. :)

    Yes you can - use the clean tool from Nero's site to uninstall it - reboot then install the new version.
    If you didn't buy the full version of 7 then you can download Nero 8 from Nero' site - has a 15 day or so trial. That will be a full version.
