ive had dvd shrink and nero for about a month. when i first used these programs, i could encode a dvd in 20 minutes and burn it using nero in 5 minutes. now it takes 1hr20minutes to encode and 1 hour to burn. i have checked my drives and they are all in dma mode, not pio mode. also, most of the movies have atleast 1 if not more skipping problems involved.
Make sure the Shrink's quality enhancements didn't get turned on accidentally. That would account for the long rip times. 5 minute burns are too fast and could be the cause of the skipping. What is your burn speed setting? Please post your last Nero burn log. If Nero 7... The log you have posted does not belong to a DVD burn, however although successfull you need to address these issues....Your DMA is off and will effect your DVD burning time BTW Even though you have 16X rated DVDs DO NOT burn at 16x...slow to 4X DMA needs to be on, heres a guide to turn back on http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038 Try slowing burn to 32X You have Roxio installed, it clashes with Nero, to remove, run this zapper http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml
i have 3 primary ide channels. they are all set for dma if available. i have 3 secondary channels set the same way. i have 3 standard dual channel pci ide controller
