Hello! Whenever I try to burn an iso in nero, it cant find my dvd-r even when its inserted. My burner is a Philips.
What model Philips burner do you have? Are you sure it is a dual format DVD burner? I believe that Philips single format DVD burners are DVD+R/RW only.
That is a very limited first generation DVD+RW drive. It would probably be a good idea to replace it with something newer. It can read pressed DVD-ROM and DVD-Video disc's. It can only burn DVD+RW disc's and read burned DVD+RW disc's. Look for a program called Force ASPI. Does Control Panel show the drive. I had the same problem and ran this program and it solved it.
