You probably need to rip the DVD to HD. Did you do this using DVDDecrypter ( free)? If not you can d/l it here: http://www.dvddecrypter.com/index.php?act=download Let us now if this is a commerical or home videos. If commerical you will have to rip it first
Edit: Oops, I got it mixed up with the nec 1100a. Search for the latest firmware update here: http://www.americal.com/pg/dvd-burn... updates&OVKEY=firmware update&OVMTC=standard Don't throw away those discs that wouldn't burn. They may still be ok if no actual burn took place. Locate your burner's firmware and search that link for the latest. Good Luck
ok, thanks for the anwsers so far! will try the firmware update! HOWEVER... i just tried with a traxdata x4 speed that a buddy brought over and it works fine... -r still wont work
You might need to make those Divx files mpeg-2 DVD-Compliant. You can use the free program below to achieve this. After conversion then burn it w/ Nero http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd.cfm
Also, if you are going to make DVD-Video movies, do NOT use Nero. Use CloneDVD, it works much much better. No trouble with movies being to big for ISO format, and whatever other errors you might encounter. I know there are other programs out there, but I prefer CloneDVD to Nero.
