ok, first of all, any help would be 100% appreciated! and i have to srtart of saying that i am a total newbie to everything that has to do with computers!

i am trying to burn some movies with nero 6.6.0.8.

i get an error message right away saying:

    illegal disc
could not perform start of disk-at-once

i use a nec nd 1300a, which is capable of burning dvd-r at x4, this discs i have are fuji "up to x8"... i asked the employe in the store it they would work and he said yes...

but both dvd-r and +r fail... while both -rw/+rw works without any problem...

i really have no clue what is wrong...

the nero logfile looks like this:

You probably need to rip the DVD to HD. Did you do this using DVDDecrypter ( free)? If not you can d/l it here:
    http://www.dvddecrypter.com/index.php?act=download

Let us now if this is a commerical or home videos. If commerical you will have to rip it first

Also, if you are going to make DVD-Video movies, do NOT use Nero. Use CloneDVD, it works much much better. No trouble with movies being to big for ISO format, and whatever other errors you might encounter.

I know there are other programs out there, but I prefer CloneDVD to Nero.
