does anyone know if nero can create mp3 id tags when it rips from a cd? if so, how do you do it?
I don't know much about Nero but I do know allot about CD rippers. If your CD ripper supports the FreeDB or CDDB, audio databases for music, and you have a connection to the internet it should use FreeDB or CDDB to fetch all the information on a CD. Now for this to work the CD info has to be in the database. If you are ripping from a disk that isn't in a music database putting the information in manualy before ripping (if possible) should create an ID3 tag of some type. Check out [bold]dBPowerAMP[/bold] or [bold]Audiograbber 1.83[/bold].

I think it does. Try File, Preferences..., Database tab. Looks like it defaults to freedb. I think you'll find that most people here use other tools to do the rip.
