When starting a new burn it kind of locks up the PC for about a minute while it prepares the buffer then gets on it's way. I can move the mouse but I can't do anything else. I figured this was normal on my old single core AMD, no big deal. I just upgraded recently to Core2Duo and it still does it? Why does it completely tax a dual core system when it prepares a burn? Is this normal? Is it Nero or is the burner (Sony DRU 16x)?
