hello i just recently bought a LG GSA-4081B external burner for my toshiba notebook. and i connected it to my laptop using a pcmcia card that converts my computer to have a usb 2.0. i use dvd shrink to copy to dvd to my hdd but and use nero 6 ultra to burn the dvd, but it only writes to 1% and just stays there while the time passes!! does anyone know what the problem is?? please HELP!!!
Hi, have just bought my dvd burner: lite-on 812S, and am having the same/similar problem (using Princo 'A' grade DVD-Rs). Nero keeps telling me 'illegal' medium, or something similar. have created 90% coasters so far. i reckon its the discs. (see other threads in the forum). What discs are you using? tararabit )
Check to see if you have the lastest Firmware updates for the burner. I have the LG4040B with latest firmware using the Princo A Grade DVD-R and have had no problems at all. Regards CoZZa
