So I install nero on my notebook that has a cd burner/dvd burner on it when nero first launches for the first time it says virtual device/image recorder and wants me to select it to continue i then cancel the wizard and go to burn hd image and select my bin/cue file then nero prompts me to save the image. Why is this? is my burner not compatible with nero? I dont get this on my desktop at home that has an older acer 8x burner. I cant use this machine, because I need this image on a dvd+r not a cd-r, and my laptop is the only machine that has the dvd burner. any advice would be great I have no idea why this happens everytime
I have a very wierd sense of deja vu answering this but... meh. In Nero goto Recorder --> Choose Recorder and make sure you select your CD Burner and not the Nero ImageDrive. Also make sure that when you are just about to burn, actually burn the disc rather than create an image to burn later (otherwise you will making an image of an image of an image of an image .... hehe)
