i understand that when you use nero 6 to burn a movie to a dvd+r it takes a few hours to encode. But after its done, i saved the project and a week later i wanted to burn the same movie again for my friend and i just burned the project again and it encoded the movie all over again. is there anyway to save the transcoding of the movie or no? these are avi movies

The short answer is No. NeroVision ALWAYS re-encodes.

A better option would have been to just "copy disc" in Nero using your original, since it had already been encoded.
