I have a movie and in the file name is svcd.dub.pl. says its a nero image. so i burned it with nero onto a cd. When i put the cd in and open it, it shows 4 folders: ext, mpeg2, segment, svcd. I try opening the file in mpeg2 with wmp and rvcd player and neither works. I try opening the files in svcd folder with rvcd, and it doesnt work. How do i get the movie to play?

Well, the CD containt seems correct. The problem is that since you have the D:\MPEG2 directory, the CD you burned is a SVCD and NOT a VCD.
Therefore the movie cannot be played directly by WMP. You either have to put the CD on a DVD player or you have to

    1) convert the 'ripped riff file' D:\MPEG2\AVSEQ01.MPG into a 'true MPEG file' e.g. C:\your_directory\VIDEO.MPG, which is a MPEG-2 file. You can do this with a registered version of VCDEasy or the freeware VCDGear.

    2) convert C:\your_directory\VIDEO.MPG, which is a MPEG-2 file. into e.g. C:\your_directory\VIDEO2.MPG, a MPEG-1 file. You can use TMPGenc + the M2V plugin, which enables it to load MPEG-2 files (use Settings--->Motion Search Precision = Highest Quality (very slow)" or you lose a lot of video quality. The M2V plugin can be downloaded at Afterdawn (look at http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/svcd_to_vcd_from_cd_images_or_mpeg_files.cfm).
