I only noticed this tonight, even though I have had it installed for a month now.

    This is the story:

I initially had Verion 6.0 of Nero installed on my computer and it was functioning fine. I had then installed the YAMAHA CDR-F1E, which comes with the Disc T@2 application through Nero Burning Rom.

I then later purchased a new DVD-RW external drive, which is a Samsung "TSSTCorp CD/DVDW SH-S182F". This DVD-RW came with a new version of Nero (Ver 6.6.0.19d).

After installing this new version of Nero, I found out that Nero Burning Rom has been replaced with Nero Express. Even when I locate the original Nero Burning Rom application in the general Ahead Nero program files, it still takes me to Nero Express.

Because it goes to Nero Express, I now have no way in gaining access to the Disc T@2 Recorder through Nero Burning Rom.

Anyone know how this issue can be solved?

More specifically, does anyone know how to solve this issue WITHOUT having to remove Nero 6.6 and reinstalling it back to Nero 6.0 (I ask this, because I have heard about some people made to reinstall to previous versions to avoid this, or purchase the full OEM version)?

Thanks a lot for all your help.

your version of Nero 6 is not the stablest version.... 6.6.0.18 is the most stablest version of Nero 6 and I would update it to that version. Here's how:

Before udating to 6.6.0.18 I would save the serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools : http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Clean_Tools.html
then do a registry clean up(free registry cleaner, CClean: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloadpage.aspx?1) and defrag...... then reboot!

    install package one:
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_burning_rom/?539

    then install package two:
    http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Patch_for_NVE3.html
reboot and you're good to go!

by doing this should bring everything back to normal!

Looks like I'll have to do quite a bit for this.

I'll have to leave it for the weekend, I'm a bit busy during this week. But thanks for the clearup and the help!

Hey Ihoe, how are you, I hope you could maybe answer this question for me:

I've been using the OEM nero 6.6.0.18 version that came with my sony DRU-710A burner for the past 3 years with no problems, and my sony just died, so I bought a lite-on LH-201H (funny since the sony is just a rebadged lite-on anyways)

and it came with nero 7 but there's no way I wanna use that, BUT as you prolly know, my current nero prog is the sony version so it won't work with the new burner...

What do I need to do to make nero work with my new burner, and still keep 6.6.0.18? I found a site that still sells nero 6 ultra edition for a good price, do I just need to buy that and then run the 6.6.0.18 update?

I don't mind buying it, unless you know another way I can get out of my sony OEM version

    thanks for your time!
