Yes it does, it has a Make your own dvd video option. Look under the start smart menu. At the top of the menu make sure to select DVD.
Are you trying to copy a disc or a file that you downloaded? What type of file are you trying to burn? In nero vision you need to press the add video button. This will open up your hardrive, then just add the folder of files that you want to copy. If your just copying a dvd then use the copy dvd function in the start smart menu. You will need to remove the copyright protection though.
I believe that is the case in the Demo version, however if you purchase Nero7 then this option is included.
When you open NeroVision 4 directly, you should be presented with a screen and a options menu. At the top should be "Make a DVD Video". If it isn't there maybe Nero doesn't know you have a DVD burner. Is it an external burner and do you plug it in prior to boot? If you use SmartStart, choose "Make your own DVD-Video". If you don't have any DVD options, then Nero isn't aware of the DVD burner. In NeroVision, there should be a drop down box located on the lower right side currently showing DVD. If it is showing something else, post back what it is.
What version of Nero is this? I seem to remember a short while back that there was a problem like this with some of the earlist version 7 releases.
All three versions of Nero after version 7.0.8.2 are "buggy", uninstall, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then install this stable version 7.0.8.2, click on the green arrow http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845 Heres a basic guide using NVE, but as I said if you're using a Demo version you may not have NeroVision http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/356114/2104525
It might be worth opening NeroVision and selecting 'Configure'. Make sure you tick the box which says 'Enable all supported recorder formats for the image recorder'. You can then burn a DVD image to hard disk even if your machine does not have a DVD burner. mike
Depending on whether I'm an Admin or a User, I get different choices. A User Can't change burning speed. An Admin can. Maybe I read somewhere that there is a Nero download to enable all users, etc. Update::http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Nero_BurnRights.html This lets XP "Users" have the same rights as the 'Admin" when using Nero.I only let me (the Admin) install apps.I surf the web as a "User" to help prevent nasties installing themselves without permission, this was when I noticed that Nero does not allow some features to be accessed.
