Even though I used NVE 2 with success many times before this time it refused to write my dv compilation to a dvd+r. I did it exactly the same way as I used to. Later I realized that whenever put an empty disk to my NEC 2500A writer, in windows explorer the definition of my drive turns out to be only "CD drive" instead of "DVD-RW". It turns back to "DVD-RW" when I eject it. I also checked the log file created by NVE 2 but there is no error message that I could understand. I am appending the final inputs in the log file. I'd be very glad if someone could help me with this issue.

    (S)he has got a NEC 2500 ... a dual format burner. + or - doesn't matter :)

I would first start by uninstalling InCD4, a packet writing software that can cause errors.

I have lite on 322S DVD-RW double layer, and Nero was included in the package.
But it doesn't matter whether i want to burn the project on DVD-RW disc or just to a hard-drive, the error appears on the end of transcodding.

On installation disc it says OEM version, while on Nero website there is a message that DVD plugin is supported only in retail version. But i think i have DVD plugin, because i actually managed to record some DVDs but they where very small.

Lately i removed all Nero software with their clean tool and installed only Vision Express from the website (18 ver). So there is no inCD. But it didn’t change anything.

    Regards,

We need the full log file created by NeroVision Express to be able to properly assist you. The portion you provided is not enough, as it does not show any error messages.

P.S. Windows Explorer can not tell a Blank disc is CD or DVD, so it's natural for it to change to CD when a blank is inserted.
