NeroVision Express 3 won't accept .avi or .mpg

From the Nero Vision 3 opening splash screen, then the select "Add Video Files", I get the following "application"error message when I try to add files:

[bold]The instruction at "0x0073df64" referenced memory at "0x01a53960". The memory could not be "read". [/bold]


And NeroVision Express shuts down.

I've tried .avi's and .mpg's and I've tried selecting them with a blank disc already inserted and without any disc.

I've already done a COMPLETE uninstall and reinstall of the entire Nero 6 suite and I'm using the latest vesion of Nero Vison.

Has anyone experienced this problem before?

I had exactly the same problem, installing the DivX driver from www.divx.com cured it for me..

I actually had to reinstall Microsoft's Directx 9.0c again and that fixed it.
