    Hey all!
I'm getting ready to buy a network adapter for my PS2 so I can hook up a hard drive and play games from it. A friend said that I should be careful what version of the Network Adapter I buy as one is better than the other. Of course he couldnt' elaborate but I figured I'd better come make sure before I make a purchase.
Are there different versions (in the US) of the NA for PS2? And is there one I should specifically look for?

    Thanks in advance

The official Sony one is the only one worth buying. It comes in two flavors, one has Highspeed connection only, the other also has modem. Someone else please elaborate if there is more to it than this.

Yeah my friend mentioned something about the broadband only adapter being somehow "better" than the one with both broadband and modem.
Though I don't really plan to use it online, so long as the HD works I should be satisfied

i think the network adaptor with the modem in it too is much thicker than the one with only broadband.
