    Hellp to all,

Understand we now require new DL burner (lite-on on certain models which are SATA) then we must flash it with cfw.
Until now I've been making back-up with regular lite-on DL IDE connectivity,y PC is about 6 years old, don't have SATA ports on my PC
Any possibility if I can still put this new CFW on my current dl burners or is it a must to change it to one of the SATA lite-on models mentioned, what are my options since my PC doesn't have sata port, how do I use reader/writter with SATA interface when my pc has only IDE connectivity.
    Thank you,

You could always get an enclosure for one of the SATA drives C4eva mentioned and connect it via usb.

Or get a SATA card (internal)and replace the IDE one you have. Youll probably need a molex to sata for power which are $2.

They also have SATA to USB cables that are fairly cheap. Check New Egg or Amazon.

If I I get sat to usb cables then what about the power or is all done via usb ?
If choosen this, would it be used like an external driver or would I be able to just swap it with one of the exisiting dvd readrer/writer I curently have hooked to my pc.

Something like THIS to put the drive in and connect it through USB.

The cable I just bought came with a power cable as well, with all the necessary adapters to plug the drive straight into a normal power outlet. My computer, running Windows 7 64-Bit, instantly recognized the drive and had it up in running in seconds.

Wouldnt it have to be a SATA to USB? The one in the link is for an IDE interface.

Correct, this is one of the lite-on models that is required.
I believe there are 5-6 lite-on models mentioned & this is one of them & each model has its' own cfw which you can find on line posted by c4eva.

If there are burners now for the xgd3 games then why is abgx not updating its database with xgd3 games?

THAT'S A GOOD QUESTION! we will find out soon, I'm sure it's something to do with time, and re-writing the program so they can be patched correctly.
