I bought a new dualshock 2 and it does not work.
It acts like I'm holding up. My other controllers work just, its just this new one.
Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it.

I did and the same thing is happening.
The controller is made in Korea.
I don't know what it could be.

lf thats true, then it makes no sense that a brand new pad would not work. Are your other pads "dual shock 2"?

Yes it is a brand new official dual shock 2 controller.
Does having a modded ps2 make it not compatable?
    I have a v7 with a magic 3.1 in it.
I don't know what to do since there is no refund for this thing, and it looks like all the controllers they got are the same.

youre supposed to take the analog sticks and move them one time in a circular motion before you use them. It says so in the instructions CLEARLY. Read the directions next time biaaatch.
