hi, i had a dvd surround system with 5.1 speakers but now the dvd player wont work.

are there any dvd players that i can buy that i can use these speakers with or do i have to buy a new home cinema?

i was looking at some dvd players and them have features that surround systems dont (usb/card readers, divx etc)

    thanks for any help

Usually those All-In-One Cinema Systems have the Reciever and DVD Player built as one unit. If the only thing that is broken is the DVD Player portion of your system and you have A/V inputs on the back of the unit then you should be able to hook up any DVD player to that unit and use the system just fine. What Brand/Model # system do you have?

If your looking for a recommendation for a DVD Player I personally would recommend the Philips DVP5982. It has a USB port and also plays DiVx, including 1080p upconvertion for about $70 at Best Buy.
