My old PS2 died on me so I went out and bought a new one. It's one of the "new" models, the thinner one with the flip top lid, and I was wondering if anyone knew if there is any mod chips that will work with the new PS2 or do you think if that "Swap Magic" will work for me.

So far Matrix Infinity and DMS4 (I think) are compatible with the new PSTwo, however I heard from one of these threads that Matrix is going to release a new chip for the new one. So you can wait for it.

Swap-Magic is currently a no-go, as the new console has some kind of mechanism that would not quite allow the use for a disk. However I am not sure on this issue, search the forum, there was a huge thread about this in the past few days.
