I have already gone thru 10 fujifilm dvds trying different movies thinking maybe it was the original disc and with all of them everything rips and burns correctly and when i start to watch it the movie is perfect. I then get to a point in the movies and it gets jumpy with artifacts all over it. I decided based off reading the other posts that I would go and get Sony brand dvd+r media and i started to burn them and I get the same problem. I was using shrink and decryptor with the fuji disks and I and using dvd xcopy xpress with the sony. Ive even tried watching the movies on my computer with powerdvd and i get lock up at the same spots. Please I really dont wanna go through more coasters and would appreciate any help possible.
First of all neither maker of DVD's that you are using are great. See if you can get your hands on Maxell or another top rated brand in the future. Use what you have first of course. It sounds like you might have some problems with your system configuration. 1. Can you play the transcoded movie on your hard drive ? 2. Have you checked your PC for spyware? 3. Are you running any applications in the background that are not needed while burning the movie? List your specs of your machine, include version of windows. This should get things going..
Windows XP SP2 AMD Athlon 2000 XP 1gb DDR Ram not sure what other specs u need Only things running in background is windows stuff, everything else is turned off I was under the impression that sony dvds were good to use from countless posts. And i just cleaned it of spyware.
raptordvd, Sony does not make there own DVD's. Most users on AD recomend Ritek G04 (DVD-R) or TI made disks. The specs on your machine are fine and you took care of the spyware issue. Can you play the movies off your hard drive that were transcoded with shrink?
I followed a guide on a post while i waited for you to post i used shrink to make it into an iso and im runnign decrypter to burn the ISO. Can i test the iso? And will this process possibly fix my problem?
You should not be on-line and trancode a movie at the same time. This can cause problems. As for your question: Yes you can access the image using demon tools. You can then play it using your dvd player. You can test the movie without mounting the image. Just output the files from shrink into a DVD Folder, not an ISO. How are you burning your Movies? DVD Decryptor? Do you have any other burning software on your system?
i used a crapy one that came with my burner by pinnacle that didnt work so i used dvdxcopy express and that didnt work so im trying decrypter.
STEP 1: Make sure your movies you are transcoding play on your machine. STEP 2: Once you have confirms step 1 then burn it. DVD Decryptor does work, but its not the best burning choice. Its first a Decryptor and then burning software in the end. You can download a free trial of Nero ultra 6. Follow these steps for best results.
They way i have been testing my dvds is skip from chapter to chapter checking each one and after checking the one doing the iso i had no problems so I m gonna watch the movie and make sure it runs 100%. Im wondering since the original program i used and dvdxcopy xpress niether lets you select burn speed i chose 2x with the dvd decryptor burn and it seems it came out. Could this have been the problem all along?
The most common problem with movies skipping is poor media. Burning a movie at a slower speed can reduce errors and help in some instances.
it really wasnt skipping more of choppy playback. So I should be good if this speed drop worked this time; for the rest?
Your last statement did not make sence to me. I think you might have said all worked out well for you. Asuming yes: Continue to burn at a slower speed with that media. Have fun!

>> Thanks for all your help gnome. >> So slow speeds with this media There are never any absolutes, but your chances are much better. Good luck!
