newbie question......about dvd shrink

    how long does the dvd shrink usually take with the encoding and all? well, in my case, it take an hour for the encoding. is that normal?

    That is normal I get the close to that time somtimes over it isnt always the same when i do it but its always near an hour or so. So yeah

    ive found that the more compression that is needed,the longer shrink takes to encode.
    but mine rarely take more than an hour if that.
    it depends also on your computer specs.

    There is no answer to your question. There are too many variables.

    Comuter specs, the size of the DVD - other programs running -

    If you're getting a backup and it's less than an hour or so - be happy -
