for any of you senior members or moderators out there, how long does it take to get from a newbie to a moderator then to a senior member. Just wandering. Not a life or death situation.

Moderators are appointed by the webmaster.

Not sure about senior memebers, but upgrading from newbie to member status takes about 6 weeks or so, if you post on a regular basis.

Many forum give you the status based on the number of posts you made. Others take count on the sense of the post, so they don't count the "me too" posts and the alikes. I`m a Mod at another site (nothing about DVD, Vcd, DIVx, etc) and we use to check posts to see how usefull they are, and promote members on that basis.
