hi shaz i cant really help you with the vollume but the method for checking if an s10 or s11 is an original or a clone is pretty much the same as the method for the s9 which i posted above .but here are instructions that may be more specific to the s10/s11 all tho they seem to be the same .

How To Check OpenBox S10/S11 If Original Or Clone
First, make sure there is no smart card inserted in the receivers card slot.

Here is an example of the CCID 0100: 98A1

The CCID is 98A1 which means the receiver is a genuine OpenBox S9.

The first part [0100] is the CAID which can be ignored, it only displays that as
your also in the same section for accessing the smart card info, and without a
smart card inserted, the default will be 0100

    Instructions:

    - goto menu
    - tools
    - information
    - now enter 7 7 7 7 7 7 on the remote.

If the CCID is one of the following:

    1) 00d0
    2) 00ea
    3) 085b
    4) 0d0c
    5) 98a1
    6) 98f2
    7) 9cf4
    8) 9d1a

The HD Receiver is original. Now it is safe to upgrade any new firmware to
    experience more new functions.

If your STB`s CCID is not one of the above, please do not upgrade any new
firmware, otherwise your HD receivers will be killed.
(dont worry to much about killing the box ,the clone firmware wont kill a genuine box but it can disable it .as i say dont worry about that to much as the box can be fixed with a null modem cable.

do you mean how are the channels organised in the channels list ? well usually with a channel list the favourites are grouped like this
    movies sports general kids
sky premier sky sports 1 bbc1 cartoon network
sky showcase sky sports 2 bbc2 nickelodeon
    etc etc etc disney
    etc etc etc etc

    Hi Piopat,
My Bro got a new openbox s9 HD but am finding it hard to set it up. The problem is he's got three LNB attached to his satellite dish all facing (13.0,19.2,28.2).
There is no motor attached to the dish. All is working well with his dreambox but when i connect it to the openbox i only get channels from 13.0E. I know am missing something on the set up but i don't know what.
How should i set it up On the Antenna and Satellite Quick Setting?
Please can you help me with the set up.
    Thanks

hi mate im not sure how much help i will be with your particular problem all i can advise really is this .you can check in Menu -> Installation -> Antenna and Satellite Quick Setting to see if your brother has set the correct diseqc settings ,if he has i can only assume that his diseqc switch is not suitable for use on an openbox which means he has to locate one that will work .

a bloke on another forum had a simillar problem and he cured it by changing his diseqc switch ,here is what he said
    "i used an old DiseqC
All others i tried were 950-2400 Mhz
    but none of them worked

the one which is working is 900-2400Mhz ......strange...
    But at least its working"

thats about the best advice i have mate ,if you sort the problem let us know .

hi mate if you mean pay channels wont open only the free channels well that means you need to buy a c line . a c line is a line of info that you buy from a person who is paying for a subscription who shares their subscription with others . a c line is not free your talking about €125.

hi aawas ,sorry i think your asking me if your box has changed to an original butif your box is a clone it will stay a clone ,adding original firmware to it wont make it an original .i would say if your box is now currently working perfectly that its probably best not to upgrade the firmware ,but should you decide at some stage in the future to upgrade your firmware all you have to do is follow the instructions i posted at the start of this thread .of course as your box is a clone you would need clone safe firmware .

I just "registered" just to have some comments.

I do thank you for your post and it will surely help me and other.

I do not have the USB Upgrade option in tools, you know why this is?
Maybe due to old software, mine is HDS2 10-10-26 1647CMT or disabled.
Is it possible to have a USB to serial cable, would that work, I am on old an Apple(no have serial port), no access to a PC for now and would like to try a virtual PC.

The problem I have is that as soon as I insert my Indovision Card (Indonesia) the box crashes and reboots with only two dashes in the display, not working, ever heard of that?

Please if you have answers let Me know.

    Cheers Perry
