I just received the GTA LS Unpatched version. What are the next steps in upgrading to 3.03?
im guessing your wanting to upgrade to 3.03 so you can downgrade to 1.5?
Yes. I want to start playing downloaded games, but my Psp version is a 2.82. I was to told to get GTA LS Unpatched because it has version 2.00. I just needed to know what to do next and where to get the fimeware to do it.
use the first link in my sig.
I tried what you said , but when I load the GTA, it doesn't go to the blue screen. It just loads right into the game. I don't know what went wrong. My copy of GTA is 2.00. What am I going to do now?
hmmm try the winstaller. its sticky'd at one of the psp forums on here.
U need the 3.03 HEN files before u load the game
this is what i did and it worked
this is the noobz downgrader instructions, i will upload the files and put them in my sig,
1 - If you have a 3.03 PSP skip to step 6
2 - Download 3.03 update from here:
3 - Unzip and place the file in :/PSP/GAME/UPDATE
4 - On the PSP, run the 3.03 update from the memory stick under the Game menu.
5 - Delete :/PSP/GAME/UPDATE
6 - Copy the contents of the folder MS_ROOT from the 3.03 downgrader ZIP to
the memory stick
7 - Unzip the 1.50 update to a temporary folder. Rename the EBOOT.PBP to
UPDATE.PBP and copy it to :/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/ . DO NOT
8 - Load GTA LCS
9 - It should get to loading savegame, then the screen will clear to black
and fill with a light blue colour, then the PSP will reset itself (if
this does not happen see section below)
10 - Check that HEN is running by going to system settings, then to
"System Information" and it should show up as system version
11 - If it is showing up as HEN then go to the memory stick and
run the x.yz update
12 - If you have an unpatched TA-082 or higher motherboard, you will be
prompted to allow the downgrader to patch your motherboard so it
can be safely downgraded. The downgrader will not let you proceed
without patching, if your motherboard requires it.
13 - Before the downgrader does anything to your PSP it will ask
for you to agree to what it is doing, if you no longer want to
continue press the Right Shoulder Button (R-TRIGGER).
14 - Once you have agreed to start the downgrade do not unplug the
PSP, or try and restart it
15 - Once finished the PSP will ask you to press X, and reset itself
16 - If it comes up saying that the settings are corrupt, press x
to continue, this will mean you will need to re-enter the
settings for network connections into your PSP, otherwise go to
17 - Load the included NetConfigBackup application in your PSP, and select to
restore, this will take the backup that was done of the network config
that was done automatically during the downgrade.
18 - All done now Hopefully you now have a 1.50 PSP. Enjoy it responsibly.
@ chkm8t...check this step 6 - Copy the contents of the folder MS_ROOT from the 3.03 downgrader ZIP to
the memory stick
im guessing you put the folder "ms_root" into your ms root...you actually just need to grab the folder inside of the ms_root folder you were provided with (i believe the folder is entitled psp if im not mistaken) and place that on your memory stick...when it asks if you would like to overwrite click yes.
It works. My Psp is at version 1.50. Now how do I play downloaded games? Where do I put the ISOs?
I suggest upgrading to custom firmware at least 3.03 oe-c or above. It will make your life easier. Theres easy installers around in the afterdawn forums...if you would like 3.03 oe-c just click on the link in my signature.
I already have the 3.03 upgrade. I created an ISO folder, but the game doesn't show up on my Psp
3.03 oe-c is different from 3.03. u need to downgrade to 1.50 then upgradt to 3.03 oe-c
what 3.03oe or 3.03 official?
3.03 oe-c not 3.03...two different firmwares, ones sony and one is custom. once your at 3.03 oe-c just format your memory stick and drop your iso files in the iso folder.
Separate names with a comma.
