No Flippin Serial Port on me new laptop

    hi All

    bought a laptop so I could update my replay PVR and Starview and its got no serial port.

    anyone got any experience with usb-serial adapters?

    you need a usb to serial port cable. this is used in conjunction with your null modem cable.
