no program associated with file.

    i have used bit commet and utorrent before but now when i try to download a file i get this message this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. create an association in the folder options control panel. i dont know why they have stoped downloading and how do i create this association. can anybody please help.

    All that message means is that no program has been associated with .torrent files. You can still use them, just download and save the torrent to your desktop/folder of choice and open it using your BitTorrent client. Also to set file association right click a downloaded .torrent file, select "Properties'. To the right of the text "Open with" there is a button labeled "Change" click it and select your BitTorrent client, if your BitTorrent client is not on the list then select "Browse" and browse until you find your program.
