I am new to ripping and encoding. I was reading the tutorial on dvd to divx5 and it says that after you follow the instructions for using dvd2avi that later on when you use CDex that you should use the .wav file that DVD2AVI created. Problem is DVD2AVI didn't create a .wav file, only a .d2v and .ac3 file. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Select 'decode' not 'demux' in DVD2AVI.

same here....I have had to save my project twice now, and both times AVI has not produced a .wav file for me. I have clicked on "decode .wav" "track 1" and everything else that the guides tell me to do. THe only file created by AVI is the movie d2v. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

The soundtrack you selected is probably DTS. Select a different audio track (track2?)that is ac3 or PCM.
